Communication urgente

Urgent Communication

We wish to inform you that bank accounts of some current and former OECD staff members may have been affected as a result of a fraudulent bank debit scheme.

The fraudulent transaction appears as a withdrawal ("prélèvement") originating from Italy, and involves a relatively small transaction (for an amount of 12.50 or 12.90 euros for the few identified cases so far) which is due for payment on 23 April. It is likely to look like this:

fraude

We advise you to check your bank accounts for any suspicious transactions, in particular for any unusual withdrawals as indicated above. Should you find any such suspicious transactions, please contact your bank immediately so that they may take appropriate action to stop the payment.

As a reminder, payments of this type can be stopped either before they are made or they can be contested (this depends on the bank) after the transaction has been made.
